The idea of a special place for the human race has been a gigantic debate between several scholars, theologians, scientist and philosopher. The truth remains that for most Christians, Heaven is real. Though, this belief is personal than collective, the idea of animals going to heaven have not been given much thought as some can conclude that animals don't go to heaven.

In a twist this past week, the Pope has opened yet another controversial chapter, in his own words he said,"One day we will see our animals again in eternity of Christ. Paradise is open to all God’s creatures."

Time... Time...time... It's been said that time waits for no man. Each day we experience a 24hours fixed routine, all our activities are expected to be planned in a way that each second will count.

Today, on GTB I want to urge us to try as much as possible to utilize our time properly. We are barely having less than 6 weeks to the end of this glorious year, 2014. The question that should ring in your heart this hour is 'Did I utilize my time properly?', if yes, kudos, but if no, you have less than six weeks to make amends.

"Time indeed na money," as the popular African song goes, don't just sit and watch things unfold like you are seeing a Bollywood movie. I am positive that if our time is spent adequately, we would turn out happier, fulfilled and most importantly, Successful..

Accident-Girl crushed to death in Abeokuta

It is rather a sad day for the family of a young girl, identified as Aisha, who was crushed dead by a car on her way to school this evening in Abeokuta, Ogun state, Nigeria. The car hit the bike that was conveying her to school, and crushed her head, spilling out her brain. The girl is popular in the area where the accident occurred.
                                       
The bike man sustained serious injuries, but little is known about the driver, I just hope he was not driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances. Find the very graphic picture below....

Sad News-An entire Family found dead in their home

Things fell apart for a family, because as we are all celebrating the 54th year of our dear nation, Nigeria, the entire household comprising of a mother and four boys died of a yet to be identified ailment in Ikorodu side of Lagos state. Below is how Vanguard news is reporting it.

mum was making lunch in the kitchen while I watched T.V, the house was filled with aunts and uncles who had come to visit and dad was playing host. Suddenly we heard the shouts from a large crowd on the street and instinctively we all rushed out to find out what was going on. Initially, it was hard to figure out what was happening in the midst of all the people and their different excited voices until we were able to see ahead to where the crowd had gathered around a middle aged man who was stark naked, bleeding from different parts of his body and was seriously pleading for his life, his face covered in tears/blood/sand/.

It is quite sickening when I watch videos, see pictures or read stories of people who are victimized for one reason or the other by members of the public on the pretext that such people have been accused of committing crimes. It is more troubling when such acts are carried out without referring the accused to a court of justice or at least to the police because most times, the allegations are usually false.

China- A female student has been implicated in the act of dumping her newly born daughter inside a toilet. According to the report, the baby was bigger than the toilet pipes, so she got stuck in the pipe. Realising this, the student took to her heels. Friday, the 19^th of September marks the birthday/bornday of a Unique Blogger, Linda Ikeji, and she kicked-off the celebration with this whooping 24million naira brand new 2014 Range Rover and promised to unveil more goodies as the days unfold.

In her own words, she wrote “Yay! My dad finally gave me permission to buy the 2014 Range Rover and I'm beyond happy. I've wanted this car for so long but he was against me buying it. But it's my birthday this Friday and he finally agreed that I could buy it for myself as a birthday present.”

  ABA — POLICE from Ndiegoro Division in Aba, Abia State have arrested a man said to be the landlord of 2, Ogechi Street, off Ohanku Road for inflicting machete cuts on a couple who were his tenants.

It was gathered that the landlord, Emmanuel Ndukwe, who hails from Item in Bende Local Government Area had recently lost his seven-year-old daughter to illness.

17 confirmed dead, Scores Injured as building collapses

One of the buildings at the headquarters of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), a six-storey building under constructions collapsed killing 17 yet to be identified persons and about 123 victims rescued.

True Life Story- Joshua's Horror

Culled this story from Vanguard News, and i sincerely feel all Nigerians should read this and feel the young man's horror.

On Friday, August 15, 2014 my mother and I went to Egypt Air head office at 22B Idowu Taylor Street, Victoria Island, Lagos to book a return ticket for me to go back to school to continue my studies at Dnepropetrovsk Medical Academy, Dnepropetrovsk Ukraine. This was about 11:15 am.

On entering the Egypt air office we met Mr. Tony Nzan on counter 1 to attend to us and we asked to book a ticket to Kiev, Ukraine.   Mr. Tony Nzan explained to us the itinerary for the flight going to Ukraine after which we went to the bank to withdraw money and returned to pay for the ticket and obtained two printouts, so that my mother could have my return itinerary from Kiev next year.

We reviewed the ticket itinerary before leaving Egypt air’s office and immediately observed that the airport code indicated on it was different from what we were familiar with, having traveled to Kiev before.   The ticket indicated an unfamiliar airport code.

We immediately brought this discovery to another ticketing officer’s attention who was seated at Counter 2, as we were informed that his colleague, Mr. Nzan, had stepped out of the office. This ticketing officer restated that the ticket was full economy and for Kiev, Ukraine with all the segments confirmed. However, we remained unconvinced, given that our prior experience indicated that the airport code for Kiev, Ukraine would usually read “KBP”. (Continue)

A Minna Chief Magistrates’ Court on Thursday ordered the remand of a 55-year-old woman, Fatima Tsaraka for allegedly killing her grandson. The accused it was alleged abducted her grandson, took him to a nearby bush where she and two others slaughtered him, made a meal of his flesh and drank his blood. 

Ebola- Vaccine under trials aids the immune systems of Monkeys

PARIS (AFP) – A novel vaccine temporarily shielded lab monkeys from Ebola, and a booster jab provided lasting protection, according to a study Sunday that endorsed approval for tests on humans.

A single shot of the vaccine, based on a cold virus that affects chimps, gave macaques “complete short-term and partial long-term protection” from the deadly virus, researchers reported in the journal Nature Medicine.

                             

Animals that received a booster shot developed “durable” immunity. The US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) announced on August 28 that human testing would start in early September following the promising results in monkeys.

The Federal government of Nigeria has directed all primary and secondary schools to resume on Monday September 22nd. The resumption date for schools had earlier been postponed to October 13th as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of the Ebola virus in Nigeria.

P.S- enough time for the Ebola Wahala to chill down, and hopefully, a cure will be found before then for this deadly virus.

I slept With My Driver Just To Have Children For My Husband

This is the story of my life: I am not a loose woman. I am just a woman who loves her husband very much and didn’t want to lose him.
