20 Powerful Short Stories on "Life Is Beautiful!!!"

After reading this, you must agree with the writer that LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL... enjoy this piece below...

20 Powerful Stories Life Is Beautiful!!!

  • Today, as he squeezed my hand in his final moments of life, my dad stared into my teary eyes and said, “Please think of me. Please remember, death ends my life, not our relationship.”
  • Today, on New Years Eve, at 11PM it will have been exactly 58 years since that night I was sitting at a beach watching the fireworks alone. I was crying because the father of my unborn child left me. A man walked up to me, sat down, and said, "I don't know who made you cry, but I would make them cry if I could." It was a corny line, and there was lots of other small talk. But we married a year later and lived a happy life together, until this morning when he passed away at the age of 78. RIP Richard.

A beautiful true love story

stumbled on this story on line, it was posted on a facebook page, and i decided to share it on the blog, i hope you find it interesting enough....

One day, a young guy and a young girl fell in love.
But the guy came from a poor family. The girl’s parents weren't too happy.
So the young man decided not only to court the girl but to court her parents as well. In time, the parents saw that he was a good man and was worthy of their daughter’s hand.
But there was another problem: The man was a soldier. Soon, war broke out and he was being sent overseas for a year. The week before he left, the man knelt on his knee and asked his lady love, “Will you marry me?” She wiped a tear, said yes, and they were engaged. They agreed that when he got back in one year, they would get married.
But tragedy struck. A few days after he left, the girl had a major vehicular accident. It was a head-on collision.

Ebola virus....things you need to know

we all know that information is power, hence the need to share this very useful piece of information I found on Fox news about Ebola virus, so as to enable us all to live prudently.

Ebola, officially known as Ebola hemorrhagic fever, is a severe disease caused by the Ebola virus that was first recognized in Africa in 1976.

Early symptoms can include fever, headache, joint and muscle aches, sore throat and weakness, followed by diarrhea, vomiting and stomach pain, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In some cases, the disease causes rashes, red eyes, hiccups and internal and external bleeding, the CDC says.

Day 31- Akuchukwu testifies of God's mercies and protections

‎Is there anyone in the house that is still doubting the prowess of God almighty or his presence here on earth?, If so, it means you are yet to comprehend the essence of life. This epistle is the last we shall be sharing on this forum #31days31epistles which kicked off on the 1st of July and will end today, the 31st of July 2014. 31 great minds have shared their epistle which revolved around all that transpired, in brief, within the first half of the year. I am sure that you have learnt a lot via this project and I am sure that you will join us by December this year for the season 2 of #31days31reflections.

To all our writers, I say thank you for sharing your epistles, to our ever supportive fans out there, I say, thank you for reading through this blog, you are the reason why this blog is still very much alive, thank you, thank you and thank you for all your supports. Finally, on the first season of #31days31epistles, we shall be reading Akuchukwu’s epistle, she is a dear friend, who is very supportive, sociable, a dedicated Christian and I am so glad she was able to turn in her epistle, do enjoy her epistle below..

Day 31- Grace says "I always do my best to be happy everyday"

As I write this second to the last master piece via #31days31epistles, yes, I said second to the last because I still have one more mind blowing experience that will be uploaded later today. Taking a quick reflection on how this project kicked-off, I started getting very emotional, because I initially thought this was not going to be a successful project because of the negative responses received from some friends, but I still pressed on, and as God will have it, we have more write ups-pending, and I promise to share them, maybe not in this program but as the days in 2014 roll by.

Today, out first writer is a dear friend, happily engaged to a man that always places her in cloud 9, lol, you know what I mean, right?. She is always happy around him, and he completes her. She is a medical student, all the way from Russian (note that our blog is going international, it is one step at a time). Grace is a friend that I planned seeing when she came to Nigeria, but one thing led to another and I couldn’t, though, I am sure we shall meet soon, maybe during her wedding next year (prophetically), lol. Ladies and gentlemen, for the second to the last piece via this project I give you. Adedigba Grace.. Enjoy her epistle below.

Day 30- Melvin says 2014 taught him the difference between Time and Ignorance.

The pursuit of happiness, is a die-hard endevour. A lot of people miss the mark, some focus on the wrong things, others like Melvin (GTB's writer for today) never loose focus. Holding on to what is most important and sieving the useless or less important stuffs aside.

Just yesterday, I and a couple of friends went to catch some fun at the beach (the write up tagged "the beach experience" will elucidate more to this story), we needed to play hard, since we had also worked hard. There is nothing bad in having some "me" time, it helps to add more meaning to living. Today's writer is my good friend, all the way from Iganmode Grammar School,Ota, and I am glad he is writing today. I told Melvin about the project #31days31epistles, and after a bit of discussion, he promised to send this in, and i am grateful for that, do enjoy his epistle..

Day 29- Adetola exclaims "2014, my year of Smiles"

I have always learnt that "a smile opens doors", so in all I do, I always breeze out a cozy smile, and sincerely, doors had been opened with this single ingredient. As the month of June comes to an end and the project #31days31epistles goes to its tail end, you must always recall one thing, even if you may forget others, Never ever stop smiling.

Today's epistle is a special person to me, her name is Adetola Adenusi, a graduate of Babcock university, a special personality, smiles a lot and I call her "my ruby", enjoy her "smile-filled" epistle below......

Day 28- Chukwumeka says "I will be the biggest ingrate in this world if....."

Have you ever woken up one morning, thinking about all that have happened to you within a short period of time?, have you heard a lot of people testify about something that barely took you like a seconds to achieve? Is your answer to any of this questions, Yes?, then you shouldn't fret, because you are not the only one in the same situation, Emeka too passed through this same mysterious phenomena, He is Single, engaged or maybe complicated, i do not even know self, but one thing i am sure of is that, he is a superb personality, All the way from Canada, we have Chukwuemeka, see his epistle below for more.......

I will be the biggest ingrate in this world if I don’t give God the glory for an epic year so far. He has been a friend, a pilot, a provider, a comforter, a teacher and many more to me. I had a fun filled end of 2013 with a bit of mixed feelings about the death and burial of my grand-mother.

When worship goes bad- 16 church members suffocate, one dies at service

Some news one hears and shakes his/her head, looks up and says "what type of this", recently read this piece news bad news and decided to share with you.

On Saturday, the 26th of July, 2014, a very poignant situation erupted as a six year old boy was confirmed dead while 16 other members are receiving treatment for suffocation after they inhaled carbon monoxide fumes from a generator. The generator was being used during the worship (thanks to our epileptic power supply) beside the poorly ventilated auditorium belonging to the Young People's Christian Fellowship in Aba, Abia state, Nigeria.

Day 27- Seye says its been a strange year.

Today is the last Sunday in the month of July, and we are gradually strolling to the end of this month , and sadly enough we will be concluding this project, #31days31epistles.

Its day 27, and the showers of blessing should have fallen on all those on a payroll, so please try to drop your tithe in church, and give your best in any ongoing project. The truth is that one of the laws of nature stipulates that when you give, you will recieve. Though, it is important to give whole-heartedly and not sadly or murmuring or greedily.

On today's epistle, we shall be reading the epistle of a giver, a cheerful one at that too. She is a dear friend, very jovial young single  lady (not sure tho). Seye is a superb lady, a good christian. I recall when i needed a place to stay that will be close to my place of work, I and Seye, went to some friends and made some requests, though, they did not turn out well, but i was very glad that she took out time from her busy schedules to attend to my immediate need, and for that i placed her as my number one friend. When i told Seye of this project, she was very busy and even down with cold, though I persuaded her not to worry about the project and focus on her being healthy but she refused and promised to send in the write up below. Its not much but her few words of wisdom will strike you to action. Enjoy her epistle below.

Poverty- Man disfigures wife's face over a piece of FISH

Sometimes, I wonder if some humans are actually humans, i mean Homo sapiens, May be they are Homo erectus or Homo something else, haba, why will you finish your wife's face because of a piece of fish, see the full story below..

For taking a piece of fish from the cooking pot, 34 year old Fatima Bankole (pictured above) said she got the beating of her life from her husband, Alhaji Kamoru Bankole, on Wednesday July 16th and now has 26 stitches on her face as a result of the brutal assault.

Everyone is crazy in Lagos' - an article by Etcetera

You know i love reading anything useful/useless, so i saw this wonderful piece written by Etcetera and sdecided to share it with you, i kinda agree in a way tho, cos sometimes to survive in Lagos you need to be crazy....See his write up below...

Few weeks ago, I got a call from a friend asking me out for a drink, but I was already at the Lagos airport. “I’m not going to be around for the next few days,” I told him. “I’m going to Abuja.” His immediate reaction was – “Why? What’s wrong? Do you want to bore yourself to death?” That’s the typical response I get whenever I tell someone I am travelling to Abuja. Abuja is a beautiful city with a terrible reputation for boredom. I have heard people in other cities speak of Lagos as a noisy, dirty and dangerous city filled with crazy people. In truth, everyone in Lagos is crazy. What else do you expect in a state crammed with 22 million people?

Day 26-I am grateful to God for the first half of the year 2014....Dee Obi

It is the last Saturday (Sabbath) of this superb month, July, and we are gradually going to the end of the project #31days31epistles, and frankly speaking, I enjoyed every bit of it. Each day from July 1, different persons have shared their epistles with us. I hope you have been inspired throughout this month.

Today we are going to read one of my very good uncle’s epistle, I call him Dee Obi. He is an Elder with the remnant church, Seventh day Adventist church, Sango-Ota, a father of three and one wife. He is my mentor, a superb role model and most of all, he loves the young people. Oh, did I mention that he enjoys music and a die-hard fan of Arsenal FC (abeg no joke with him club o). Enjoy his epistle below.

Day 24/25- Its my CHRIS TUCKER's day- Each day Counted for something.

Some of you will wonder why I call him “My Chris Tucker”, the truth remains that he has a striking similarity to the action figure that partnered with Jackie Chan in the movie “Rush Hour”. Osinachi or Oscywhyte or My-Chris-Tucker depending on the one I want to call him, is a fine boy no pimple wiz, who has a very interesting personality, there are no dull moments when he is around, he must put a smile on you with his songs, he loves music so much.

Today we are going to be reading an epistle from a star, whose light is going to make you blind if you don’t wear a sun shade. Yes sir, I told Oscy about the project, reminded him once and he balled in his write up to me quickly too, and even apologized for the delay he felt I had to experience before getting this epic epistle to me, so Ladies and Gentlemen, without further ado I give you his epistle below…

Day 23- Ann is up- so far it has being exciting, educative and inspiring.

How long must this feeling go on, how long must the pain go on, how long must this rather poignant feeling go on, the feeling that you are broke, the feeling that you are scared of love, the feeling that you are lonely, the feeling that someone else might take your place in the life of that person you love, the fear of a heart break, the feeling of revenge, the hash way you treat guys just because of the way your own father treats you or the way you treat ladies wickedly just because of the way your own mum treats you. How long, just how long will it take to wait for the right time to come, The truth is that i do not know, but one thing i know is if you are patient enough, the goodies will come knocking soon.

Today on GTB, we are having day 23 of our program, #31days31epistles, and Ann is going to share her epistle with us all, she is a dear friend, a sweet heart, a wonderful person and colleague, enjoy her epistle below.
