African Folktale -The grasshopper and the toad

So i decided to spice up the blog with a different type of story, this time lets do a folktale together, i hope you will enjoy the story....

Grasshopper and Toad appeared to be good friends. People always saw them together. Yet they had never dined at each other's houses. One day Toad said to Grasshopper, "Dear friend, tomorrow come and dine at my house. My wife and I will prepare a special meal. We will eat it together."
The next day Grasshopper arrived at Toad's house. Before sitting down to eat, Toad washed his forelegs, and invited Grasshopper to do the same. Grasshopper did so, and it made a loud noise.
"Friend Grasshopper, can't you leave your chirping behind. I cannot eat with such a noise," said Toad.
Grasshopper tried to eat without rubbing his forelegs together, but it was impossible. Each time he gave a chirp, Toad complained and asked him to be quiet. Grasshopper was angry and could not eat. Finally, he said to Toad: "I invite you to my house for dinner, tomorrow."

Day 16- Ebere goes hard, advocates for REAL people.

Listening to some old tunes from West life, Backstreet boys and Micheal learns to rock, these songs took me back to the 80's, hahahhaha, when things were a bit real, because today we have so many unreal things, from psychology to social life, a lot of things are going really wrong. The most annoying part is that "REAL" Friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, men, women, husbands, wives, Parents and even children are going into extinction.

Welcome to a world where honesty is dusted under the carpet, while pretense and hypocrisy chairman's the day, amidst this weird turbulence are those who are ready to stand by the truth even though heaven will fall, some of them have been sharing their epistles with us here on GTB via project #31days31epistles, today we shall here from one of those Men who is indeed REAL, I call him Ebere......

Day 15- Sarah assures us that 2014's first half was all about THANKSGIVING

Some "Women Activist" told me jokingly yesterday that i have didn't give the female gender enough space on my blog for them to join the project #31days31epistles, they said more men had been featured on the program, than female. Well, to prove them wrong, we shall have a female writer do her thing today, she is a special lady, soon to be bride and i am sure that she will be a great mother. Sarah joined during the last project #31days31reflections that aired on the blog in January, and when i contacted the Abuja base entrepreneur about this project #31day31epistles, she willingly joined other voices to share her epistle with us. Her epistle is short and precise, and i must add, she invited me to be one of her "Men in Suits" for her wedding ceremony, a request that i accepted with a lot of excitement, hmmm, I await patiently for the wedding day. Do enjoy her epistle after the cut.............

Musa loves dogs and he is really doing his best in that hubby, he also enjoys swimming and playing football, just to mention of few of his hobbies. He is also a fan of "a better Naija", and in his little way, he is impacting lives. Do enjoy his unique epistle below.....

WORDS FROM A FATHER TO A SON ABOUT MARRIAGE

It is rather crucial to remember that words of wisdom are key to a successful existence here on earth, no wonder our elders say that a word is enough for the wise. Today, i want to share with you a write up i stumbled upon while surfing the net, painfully enough i was unable to get the author of this wonderful piece. In celebration of the victory of Germany during the 2014 FIFA world cup in Brazil, i give you this gift, do apply each word with wisdom.

1. My son, if you keep spending on a woman and she never asked you if you're saving or investing, and she keeps enjoying the attention, don’t marry her.
2. My son, a woman could be a good wife to you, some could be a good mother to your children but if you've found a woman like a mother to you, your children and your family, please don't let her go.
3. My son, don't confine the position of your wife to the kitchen, where did you get that from? Even in our days, we had farm-lands where they worked every morning . . . that was our office.
4. My son, if I tell you that you're the head of the house, don’t look at your pocket; look if you will see a smile on your wife’s face.
